We’re drawn to writing that feels alive: emotionally resonant, clear, and meaningful. We care less about form or length, and more about whether it makes us pause and feel something real.
How to Submit

Each poem or non-fiction piece must be submitted individually so we can give every piece the full attention it deserves.
Submission Instructions:
- One work per form
(You may submit additional pieces by resubmitting the form.) - Include the following:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Title
- Your work as a file upload — accepted formats: .doc, .docx, .pdf, or .rtf
Please note:
- We do not accept previously published or AI-generated work.
- Simultaneous submissions are welcome — just let us know if your piece is accepted elsewhere.

Response Time
We read all submissions personally.
Our average response time is 1 - 2 weeks, though we often reply sooner.
Every submission receives a response — we never leave poets waiting without acknowledgment.
Rights & Publication
If your work is accepted, we ask for first publication rights and the right to archive your piece on Poetry Habitat.
All rights revert to you after publication.
Compensation
Poetry Habitat does not currently offer monetary payment for regular submissions.
Selected pieces will be published on our platform and promoted across our social media channels.
For special contests or featured projects, compensation may be offered — this will always be clearly stated in those submission calls.
